On February 11th, residents, community leaders, investors, and the developer joined together for the grand opening of the newly renovated Spring Creek Apartments in Quitman, GA. Spring Creek underwent over $4,000,000 in renovations to preserve the 42 units of affordable housing available to seniors age 62 and older and the handicapped. McLain and Brown Construction Company of Valdosta, the contractor for the renovation, used Green Building Techniques and energy efficient design throughout the project. The rehabilitation of Spring Creek was made possible by an award of Low Income Housing Tax Credits by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and equity supplied by Direct Tax Credits.
